Evan Felker & Friends Fundraiser for WoodyFest!

Evan Felker (frontman for the Turnpike Troubadours) & Friends will perform a fundraiser show to support the Woody Guthrie Coalition – organizer of the annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival – at the Crystal Theatre in Okemah on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 8pm.

General Admission tickets ($30) for Evan Felker & Friends go on sale on the Crystal Theatre website on November 20, 2015 at 10am Central Time. (Will call only.) The Crystal Theatre is located at 401 W. Broadway in Okemah, OK. Doors will open at 7pm for the 8pm show.

The Turnpike Troubadours – who partly took their name from the 105-mile Indian Nation Turnpike that stretches across southeast Oklahoma – have been together since 2007. Since then, their songwriting and live shows have helped build a strong following in Oklahoma and around the world. The band’s 4th release – self-produced and self-titled – was released on September 18, 2015 and peaked at #3 on Billboard’s U.S. Country chart on October 10, 2015. The band has been touring almost non-stop since the album’s release. Evan’s stop in Okemah for the December 18 fundraiser comes between shows in Springfield, Illinois and Tulsa. We are pleased to also announce that the Turnpike Troubadours are scheduled to perform at the 2016 WoodyFest!

We’d like to thank these sponsors of the event: Okemah Community Improvement Association; the George Kaiser Family Foundation; the Oklahoma Arts Council; Roger Thompson, Oklahoma State Senate District #8; Philip E. Landers Foundation; Parks Brothers Funeral Home; and BancFirst.

If you are unable to attend but would like to support the Coalition, please consider a donation to the 2016 Friends of the Festival campaign. For a Donation of $5.00 (or more), your name will be listed on the Friends of the Festival page and in the 2016 festival program.
