Friends of the Festival


 The names of persons who donate to this year's Friends of the Festival campaign will be acknowledged in this year's program booklet in addition to being listed on the website. Donors can choose to remain anonymous and/or request a special dedication. To be included in the program booklet, donations (minimum $5) must be received no later to June 10, so there are only 7 days left. The program booklet will also be published on the website this year. See the Friends of the Festival page to donate.

Wednesday Night Opening Concert
Bob Childers Tribute


  The July 8 Wednesday night concert to officially open the 18th Annual WoodyFest will be a tribute to the late Bob Childers, whose spirit continues to live on at WoodyFest although he left this earth in 2008. Confirmed performers include The Red Dirt Rangers, John Fullbright, Butch Hancock, Michael Fracasso, The Burns Sisters, Kevin & Dustin Welch, Susan Herndon, Gabe Marshall, Miss Brown to You, Kierston White, Bryon White AND Terry “Buffalo” Ware and the Oklahoma Geniuses!

Tickets for the Bob Childers Tribute Concert are $20 and can be purchased in advance at Brown Paper Tickets begining 6/1/2015 at 10 AM CDT or at the door.

2015 Festival Tickets


 The Woody Guthrie Coalition, Inc. – an all-volunteer non-profit organization – has coordinated and produced the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival annually since 1998. For 17 years, merchandise sales, income from grants, sponsors, and other donations has enabled the Coalition to keep the festival free of charge (except for a small parking fee.) For the last four years particularly, the Coalition has struggled to cover our overhead expenses totaling over $120,000 annually! We realized that we simply could not continue to produce a high-quality festival without generating additional income. After struggling with various options and opinions, the Coalition concluded the only viable option is to begin charging an admission fee. We understand that this will be a big change for folks who have attended the festival for many years but we have several options that we hope will accommodate everyone’s budget. The Coalition is adding a third daytime venue downtown so that there will be two venues offering free music during the day (The Brick Street and the CIA Stage.) All persons 12 and over will need a wristband for both daytime performances at The Crystal Theatre and evening performances at the Pastures of Plenty, and includes free parking at the Pastures of Plenty, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (July 9-11.) Persons 12 and under are free if accompanied by an adult. The Sunday Hootenanny will remain free of charge. A 3-day pass wristband as well as a single-day pass wristband will be sold.

A 3-day pass may be purchased in advance starting at 9am CST April 1. Prices for a 3-day pass are: April 1 through May 13 - $50, May 14 through June 25 - $60, On site - $75. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit our Tickets page.
